Very well organized system for misrepresentation of the majority of political will

MANS - LogoMANS is not surprised that the Democratic Party of Socialists faced with obvious and documented examples of political corruption and in the absence of arguments, reaches and uses the lowest language, intimidation and threats, but on that level of public communication we will not descend.

Numerous evidence that MANS has collected so far, and received from citizens through its support services to those who report corruption, show that during the previous election voters’ will was grossly violated through bribery, intimidation and blackmail, while hundreds of pages of evidence submitted to Montenegrin prosecution witness that a number of state institutions, ruled by the senior officials of the DPS, actively misused public funds in favor of that party.

The scandal “Snapshot” and everything else that came to light after it, clearly laid bare a very well organized system for the misrepresentation of the majority of political will and the purchase of election results in Montenegro. Thanks to all that the highest officials of the DPS reported on the sessions of that party, public confidence in the electoral process has been lost, which is an attitude that share with us and the relevant European addresses.

It is just a full investigation of the scandal ”Snapshot” in continuity from Brussels imposed to official Podgorica as one of the imperative conditions for the further continuation of negotiation and restoration of public trust in the electoral process. From Montenegro has been asked to determine a full political and criminal responsibility for electoral manipulations.

Recording about negotiation on purchase of ID cards, and the evidence that show that the DPS grossly falsified official reports on spending money during elections in Berane are just new in the whole range of evidence that support the fact that we are not dealing with individual cases that could be linked to political activists, but rather we are dealing with a complex plan calculated in advance at the offices of the highest officials of this party, which should have as a goal a new election fraud, right on the next elections.

Unskilled are attempts of the DPS that undeniable responsibility of its highest officials in affair ”Snapshot” and other electoral manipulations tries to shift on someone else, because MANS did not managed huge public funds and distributed social benefits, nor paid travel expenses, illegally employed, blackmailed, intimidated and used additional funds in order to in all costs win as many votes as possible in the previous elections. That power so far has been used by a number of managers of the state institutions that on those positions were installed by the DPS as a loyal staff, always ready to pay off debt to their party.

Only thanks to the fact that the judiciary and the prosecution are under extreme political influence, a majority of the highest officials of the DPS are still granted freedom instead to be liable for political and criminal responsibility for something that we freely can call organized crime.

Detection of all of those who are participants in an act of corruption is a duty of every citizen of Montenegro, of all organization of civil society, and political parties as well, and in that sense MANS will not only continue to work on the detection of such cases, but will even more strongly continue to encourage citizens to join us in that. What encourage us in that work is the fact that after the affair “Snapshot” and the elections in Berane there are more of those who are not afraid and who are ready to report corruption and document it in a concrete evidence.

MANS because of that filed criminal charge against senior officials of the DPS, Milo Djukanovic, Tarzan Milosevic and Branko Cavor, because of suspicion that they knowingly falsified and set up official financial report on spending of campaign money in Berane.

MANS will continue to investigate political corruption and to very carefully monitor upcoming local elections, not only for a fact that we have the support of the European Union in that, but primarily because we truly believe that the future of Montenegro belongs to its people and not to the organized crime and its exponents in power and political parties.
