MANS will tomorrow in accordance with the law submit to the Basic State Prosecutor request for copies of the case in which the prosecution concluded that the activists of the DPS jokes when referring to exercise of criminal offenses.
During the procedure, MANS already requested a part of the documentation, that relates to the prosecution’s actions toward MANS and that; the request in which is from the Basic Court demanded search of Vuk Maras and the record of the questioning of Maras, conducted by three public prosecutors.
The prosecution denied those requests with explanations that the case is in pre-trial investigation and that is the reason why the information can not be disclosed publicly, inspect and copy the records, because it would jeopardize the purpose of the investigation.
Now, when the prosecution publicly announced that the examination is completed, can not exist one legal ground to deny us submission of case copy, especially since MANS has a direct legal interest to get those papers, because the prosecution majority of actions directed toward MANS.
Also, beside MANS and the public has a full right to know how prosecution concluded that Predrag Vasovic joked when he spoke how he commits criminal acts on behalf of the DPS and when he asked interested people to sell him the ID cards. it is the right of the public to know why the state prosecutors did not want to know why Vasovic destroyed phone and card, and especially to know who is teh prosecutor who interrogated Vasovic, actually was Vasovic also interrogated by the Primary State Prosecutor, Ljiljana Klikovac together with her two deputies, and how they acted in Vul Maras’s case.
From the case file it will be determined whether the prosecution did anything to check with whom Vasovic made contact, or the only goal was to determine who recorded Vasovic in communication on criminal offenses in organized way on behalf of the DPS.
From the case file it will be determined when the prosecution undertaken actions, especially toward Vasovic who did not have a status of a suspect. With that it will be determined whether the prosecution allowed Vasovic to destroy the phone and card, and prepare a defense declaring that he was joking, while the prosecution focused on monitoring MANS, searching of them and their phones.
Further, the prosecution is obligated to provide us with the copy of the case in order to determine what kind of actions they took toward MANS, and in order to inform the public whether the prosecution has followed whereabouts of Predrag Vasovic and whether has followed the phone’s location that he uses, at the same way as they followed Vuk Maras, and precisely knew the time when he comes back from a business trip and that he uses a business phone of MANS at that time.
The case files will show the best the absurd of prosecution’s accusations that MANS did not cooperate and used illegal methods in the fight against corruption.
Rejection and ignorance of this request and cover up of the case files additionally would show the extent of corruption in the prosecution, and how and in which interest enforced examination.
By its ground the prosecution confirmed Vasovic’s statement that the buyers of ID cards do not have a reason to fear from the police and prosecution, and publicly sent a massage to everyone who wants to report corruption that it will be subject to harassment and violation of basic human rights. Therefore MANS once again invites citizens who have information about corruption to submit them to MANS who will continue to publish them, no matter the fact that the prosecution tries to look naive and unprofessionally claims that they are illegal methods.
