RankoKrivokapic (2)Podgorica (MINA). Network for Affirmation of Non-governmental Sector ( MANS) submitted today to the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Ranko Krivokapic, preliminary report with conclusions about local elections held on May 25th.

Executive Director of MANS, Vanja Calovic, said that they made Krivokapic familiar with irregularities and problems related to the electoral process in his capacity as the President of the Parliament and the chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, and that they will present him and the final report.

In that regard, we would be happy to respond to any invitation for cooperation so such things would never be repeated, said Calovic.

On the question whether in the conversation with Krivokapic was discussed the parliamentary investigation, she said that is the idea still its infancy.

However, I believe that it will be possible something like that, and it looks like we can expect the cooperation with the Parliament in various activities, added Calovic.

According to her, the general conclusions of MANS are that there were many irregularities.

There was a pressure on citizens who voted on many pooling stations, many legal procedures were violated, and in that regard, we still expect the answer from the institutions, said Calovic.

MANS, as she added, received the answer from the Municipal Election Commission which is par excellence illegal, as well as the part of the answer from the State Election Commission (SEC).

We will see how the SEC would respond by the end of the process, and how the Constitutional Court would relate to that. Our goal is to see what kind of irregularities and problems exist in this system, in order to process them adequately, actually how to find the answer not to repeat elections like these ones, Calovic was precise .

She added that they presented to Krivokapic that also MANS’s observers were under great pressure from the members of the electoral committees, specifically from the Democratic Party of Socialists.

Especially at those polling stations were most irregularities have been discovered, said Calovic.
