MANS – 75 complaints submitted to Special Prosecutor till 6PM

0

431 citizens have contacted MANS Hotline from the opening of the polling station till 18.00. Most of the reported cases refer to suspicions of committed criminal offences against electoral rights, while a smaller number of citizens ask about the polling stations where they can exercise their right of vote.

Citizens most frequently report suspicions about the crimminal offence of violation of expression of free will when voting, while a lower number refer to the violation of the secrecy of voting with elements of a criminal offence and prevention of voting, as well as keeping inaccurate list of voters.

Until 16.00, MANS submitted 75 crliminal complaints following the proofs submitted by citizens and obsevers, while a convincing majority of them refer to the suspicion of committed criminal offences of violation of free expression of will when voting.

As many as 31 cases refer to the criminal offences that are suspected to have been committed in Podgorica, seven in Bar, five each in Cetinje and Nikšić, four each in Bijelo Polje and Mojkovac, three in Danilovgrad, two each in Berane, Herceg Novi, Kotor, Rožaje and Ulcinj, as well as one each in Pljevlja, Kolašin, Petnjica, Šavnik and Tivat.

Once again we express our deep concern about the unprecedented censorship of the Internet and suspending Viber and WhatsApp services that citizens largely use to send us evidence on possible commission of criminal offences against electoral rights.
