Montenegro has dropped three places in the 2016 research on Corruption Perception Index (CPI), conducted by Transparency International.
According to the research, Montenegro is ranked 64 on the list of 176 countries, while list year it came 61st.
Montenegrin corruption perception index is nominally one point higher than last year, but other countries more significantly improved, which left Montenegro lower on the corruption scale.
MANS is not surprised with Montenegro’s decline, as there have not been any serious and concrete results in fighting corruption, while the institutions are under the political control.
