MANS welcomes the efforts of certain political parties to, 18 months after the Parliamentary Elections, finally publish their finances and additional documentation we have been asking for since October 2016.
We hereby inform the public that after Wednesday, March 28, when the report was completed, two parties submitted additional documentation.
In particular, Democratic Montenegro provided additional information and justified 100% of the reported costs with invoices.
Part of the documentation was later submitted by the New Serbian Democracy (NOVA), which justified 74% of the total reported expenditures.
We are surprised by the reaction of representatives of the New Serbian Democracy who, instead of publishing all documents on their finances, harshly attack MANS for asking all political entities to publish information on the revenues and expenses in the election campaign.
This topic has long provoked numerous controversies in the public, thus, NOVA was expected to publish documentation of its finances on their own.
Since that party claims that their finances are in accordance with the law, we do not see any reason why they would not publish missing invoices for the costs in the amount of 237 thousand Euros.
At the same time, we urge all other political parties to justify the costs for previous elections, as well as presidential candidates to publish information on their finances.
Complete financial documentation provided by all political parties is published on MANS website: www.mans.co.me.
