Đukanović once again showed that he is a sort of political chameleon and a great hypocrite who is no stranger to contradicting himself if he believes that in that way he can score political points.
We are used to his ridiculous statements, but the latest one saying that he remains determined in defending Montenegro’s EU integration was too much even for him.
It is hypocritical to talk about the adoption of European standards and institution building while at the same time working on the accumulation of absolute power at one address. This accumulation of power has brought along the complete collapse of the state in fight against organized crime, while the citizens share a sense of general insecurity and fear for their own lives.
During all these years, Đukanović has been devoted to discrediting not only the state institutions, but also the role of the media and NGO sector.
Therefore, it can no longer be said that Đukanović does not recognize the role of the NGO sector. Instead he is well aware that sometimes the NGOs are the only ones that pose a real danger to the last dictatorship dynasty in Europe.
That is precisely the key reason why in his public statements Đukanović does not miss the opportunity to re-draw the target on the head of those who refuse to believe in his version of Montenegrin reality and keep quiet.
It is only a part of his constant need to divide Montenegro into suitable and unsuitable ones, and thus attempt to conceal crime and enormous enrichment of the narrow circle of privileged individuals at the expense of all citizens.
In both the domestic and international public, Đukanović is increasingly recognized as a dictator who captured the state, in conjunction with organized crime, and therefore he tries to silence his critics by all means and continuously diverge from the European Union which seeks concrete reforms and results.
Despite all the pressure from the regime and Đukanović himself, MANS will continue to investigate the suspicious activities of his family and criminal structures related to them.
