MANS organized training on mobile journalism

The Network for Affirmation of NGO Sector (MANS), in collaboration with OCCRP, organized a two-day training in Podgorica on October 19 and 20 in Podgorica areas of mobile journalism.

The training included technical training for mobile journalism, but also creative visual reporting workshops as well as ways to visual apply reporting in research stories that are challenging for multimedia rendering.

The seminar was attended by 10 researchers from the media and NGOs sectors, who have become familiar with the basic and advanced tools for production of spectacular video content, as an addition to existing newsreels texts.

The lecturer was Lamija Alečković – trainer, media consultant, partner at ICT company Aspida, former editor-in chief at HRT and former executive producer in Aljazeera Balkans.

First day of the training focused on the importance of mobile journalism in news production and how to be a “One Man Band”, i.e. how to use several available instruments at the same time.

Through practical examples, attendees learned how to record and produce sequences with a simple and advanced editing tool. On the second day of training, attendees presented stories of their choice in multimedia way, using tools and techniques they had learned the previous day.

The training was organized as part of the EU-funded project Supporting investigative journalists.
