Privacy Policy of the mobile application “Ask Institutions” (hereinafter Privacy Policy) is an integral part of the conditions of use of the application, which was implemented by the Network for Affirmation of NGO Sector – MANS within the project “Towards more professional and credible investigative journalism in Montenegro” supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, which is publicly available for download on the Google Store and on the website www.mans.co.me.
The project refers to monitoring of transparency and activities of the state bodies in Montenegro and through this service, MANS enables journalists and citizens to request information held by the authorities.
Privacy of the users of the mobile application “Ask institution” is of special importance for MANS and it is dedicated to respecting your privacy and confidentiality of your personal data. This Privacy Policy serves to specify what information we collect about you, how we handle it, with whom we share it and how we protect it, as well as to provide you with all other relevant information regarding your personal information regarding the use of the application.
By using or accessing the application, you will be considered to agree with the provisions of the Privacy Policy, as well as the terms of use of the mobile application, more precisely to accept and agree that the administrator – MANS’ employee, may have access to your personal data. All your personal data is on servers to which a limited number of people has access, and are located outside Montenegro.
Namely, the administrator of the application – MANS, does not request information from users, unless it is submitted to us or users want to provide it of their own free will. This is primarily an e-mail address that is provided in order to contact you as a user and forward you a response from a government authority. MANS undertakes that information about the user, including e-mail address, shall not be shared or given to third parties, unless requested by the user, otherwise any contact shall be anonymous.
Requests that you send through this application by using an e-mail address as a means of communication to send a specific request to the institution, which you can send absolutely anonymously (without exact and precise first and last name) are processed and inspected by the MANS’ administrator who, depending on the received content, i.e. if it is not offensive, confirms the receipt to the sender and forwards the request to the specific institution for which it is intended.
Requests with offensive or any type of content with negative connotation will be returned by the administrator to the user for correction to ensure full respect for the institution to which the request is submitted.
When the institution submits a response to the request, MANS’ administrator will forward it to you.
At the same time, we note that we collect all the aforementioned information about you exclusively for the purpose of processing your requests sent to institutions, and for enabling increased transparency of institutions through the use of this application. We may also disclose or share your personal information with representatives of the institutions you wish to contact through this application, if you request us to do so, otherwise, you remain anonymous.

MANS reserves the right to change or modify the terms of this Privacy Policy. Any change made to the Privacy Notice will be notified to users to users through e-mail or website.
