Political parties in the Parliament that have been receiving enormous funds from the state for years, and are hiding all the information about their finances, are the Social Democrats (SD) and the Movement for Change (PZP).
While SD received 1.1 million euros from public funds in the last two years, PZP received nearly 700 thousand euros. More precisely, in 2019 and 2020, SD received 593,920 euros from the state budget, and 539,487 euros from the municipal budgets. In the same period, PZP received 503,628 euros from the state and an additional 179,152 euros from municipalities.
The two parties did not respond to a single request for information sent by MANS, and hid all their revenues and expenses in the last two years. Thus, it is hidden from the public in what way 1.8 million euros of funds from public funds was spent.
Such actions of these parties further increase the suspicions about the legality of their work, because they take enormous amount of funds from the state, and submit only scanty financial statements from which even the basic things about their business cannot be seen.
These days, the leaders of these parties are publicly advocating for transparency in the spending of citizens’ money, while at the same time hiding how they spend a great deal of funds they receive from the state and municipal budgets.
That is why we ask them to finally publish data on their financing.
