The Administrative Court of Montenegro revoked the decision of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APC) on the basis of which Vanja \u0106alovi\u0107 Markovi\u0107 was dismissed from the\u00a0 position of a member of the Council of the Agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The court ruled that the decision of the Agency was illegal because it violated several rules of procedure, to which \u0106alovi\u0107 Markovi\u0107 repeatedly referred to both to the APC Council and the Parliament of Montenegro.<\/span><\/p>\n

In its verdict, the Administrative Court found that \u0106alovi\u0107 Markovi\u0107, as a member of the Council of the Agency, did not decide on the initiatives of NGO MANS, although the director of the Agency claimed otherwise, stating that she thus placed a private interest in front of the public one.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, the court found that the salary of \u0106alovi\u0107 Markovi\u0107 was reduced after the conclusion of the MANS contract with the Delegation of the European Union in Podgorica, not increased multiple times, as repeatedly claimed by the Director of the Agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the court noted that the case file shows that, in accordance with the Law, \u0106alovi\u0107 Markovi\u0107 was not allowed to respond to the charges by the Agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

In that way, the verdict of the Administrative Court confirmed that the APC violated the Law several times when \u0106alovi\u0107 Markovi\u0107 was unlawfully declared guilty, on the basis of which the Parliament dismissed her from the position of the member of the Council of the Agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

This shows that \u0106alovi\u0107 Markovi\u0107 was removed from the Council on the basis of an exclusively political decision, due to her persistent commitment for the Agency to act in accordance with the law, rather than the instructions of the ruling party.<\/span><\/p>\n

Such legal fiasco of the political process led against \u0106alovi\u0107 Markovi\u0107 by the Director of the Agency should result in his dismissal, but it is clear that there will be no political will for this, because Radonji\u0107 did it precisely according to a political instructions. Shameful decision of the Parliament, which did not wait for the court verdict, but urgently dismissed \u0106alovi\u0107 Markovi\u0107, is a clear proof that it is a matter of political revenge for discovering illegalities in financing of the ruling party. <\/span><\/p>\n
