In just five years (2005-2010), Milka Vujovi\u0107, treasurer of the Democrat Party of Socialist, spent at least half a million Euros on the purchase of the real estate in Podgorica and Budva. This is evidenced by the data obtained by the MANS Investigative Centre.<\/p>\n

In what way Vujovi\u0107 family acquired valuable real estate in Podgorica?<\/p>\n

Last year, the president of the Atlas Group, Du\u0161ko Kne\u017eevi\u0107, accused Vujovi\u0107 of being part of a scheme to illegally finance DPS, adding that for years, in addition to Milo \u0110ukanovi\u0107, he also gave money for the party to her personally.<\/p>\n

Vujovi\u0107 never responded to these allegations, while last year, when asked by reporters about Kne\u017eevi\u0107’s donations to the party, the President of Montenegro and DPS, Milo \u0110ukanovi\u0107, said that “everything that was done ended up at the appropriate address in the Democratic Party of Socialists, i.e. in the accounting\u201d.<\/p>\n

DPS treasurer bought the most expensive real estate in 2009 when she spent \u20ac 247.5 thousand for a 166 m2<\/sup> apartment on George Washington Boulevard in Podgorica, and shortly after another \u20ac 31 thousand for two garage spaces in the same building.<\/p>\n

Since 2006, Milka Vujovi\u0107 also owns a 67m2 <\/sup>office space in Podgorica, purchased for \u20ac 116.000. Vujovi\u0107 bought the property in the very centre of Podgorica behind the Hilton Hotel from Master In\u017eenjering company owned by Vladan Ivanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n

According to MANS\u2019 data, Milka Vujovi\u0107 also owns an apartment in the centre of Budva, which she bought in 2005 from a natural person for only \u20ac60.000. That the price was not realistic is evidenced by the evaluation made for the purpose of mortgaging when the apartment was estimated at as much as \u20ac165 thousand. In the mortgage statement she made on that occasion, Vujovi\u0107 said that it was her property which she had purchased “from her personal funds”.<\/p>\n

We did not receive a response to questions from Vijesti and MANS journalists about the origin of the money used to purchase the aforementioned real estate.<\/p>\n

Good day to buy real estate<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The five-bedroom apartment of the DPS treasurer in the Normal Company building on George Washington Boulevard is not the only property Vujovi\u0107 family owns at that address. Just one day after Milka Vujovi\u0107 bought her apartment, her son Dragoljub Vujovi\u0107 bought unfinished 180m2<\/sup> office space and a garage space in the same building.<\/p>\n

Data obtained by the MANS Investigative Centre show that the office space cost \u20ac 233.5 thousand and the garage space \u20ac 15.5 thousand. In addition to real estate in Podgorica, cadastral records also show that Vujovi\u0107 had previously purchased a cottage in \u017dabljak for around \u20ac15 thousand, as stated in the purchase contract.<\/p>\n

The latest real estate he bought, Vujovi\u0107 gave to his son, Mi\u0161ko Vujovi\u0107. The youngest Vujovi\u0107 is employed at the Civil Aviation Agency and he is DPS official. The gift contract obtained by the MANS Investigative Centre states that Dragoljub gave his son a 92 m2<\/sup> apartment and a garage without any commissions. The apartment of the youngest Vujovi\u0107 is located in the Zetagradnja building on the site of the former Podgorica dairy company, and real estate agency estimates show that the apartment of that surface area with a garage space could not be paid for less than \u20ac150.000.<\/p>\n

Mi\u0161ko Vujovi\u0107, as a public official, reported to the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APC) that he had received real estate from his father as a gift, but not where he got the money for the purchase of it. The report of the youngest Vujovi\u0107, which includes his parents’ income, shows that his father has no income other than a monthly salary of \u20ac1.500.<\/p>\n

Mercedes as a gift as well <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to the apartment he received as a gift, in his card from 2016, Mi\u0161ko Vujovi\u0107 also reported a new Mercedes C class vehicle that he had received as a gift, without stating whose gift it is, nor its value. The Ministry of the Interior (MoI) data also show that Mi\u0161ko Vujovi\u0107 owned another Mercedes in the previous period, which was sold in the meantime. The youngest Vujovi\u0107 acquired the vehicle when he was only 20 years old and paid around \u20ac17 thousand for it.<\/p>\n

Mi\u0161ko Vujovi\u0107’s property card states that his father also owns a Mercedes E-Class vehicle that was purchased in 2013 with a two-year lease. Data from the invoice obtained by the MANS Investigative Centre show that Dragoljub Vujovi\u0107 paid this vehicle almost \u20ac50 thousand.<\/p>\n

The youngest Vujovi\u0107 is the Vice President of the Youth Council of DPS. He submitted his assets and income statement for 2018 to the Agency for Prevention of Corruption as a member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Diving Centre for Underwater Demining and Divers Training, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Parking Service Podgorica.<\/p>\n

Kne\u017eevi\u0107 gave money, but DPS did not report it<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Responding to questions from journalists regarding Du\u0161ko Kne\u017eevi\u0107’s allegations that he was giving money to DPS, Milo \u0110ukanovi\u0107 admitted at the beginning of last year that the president of the Atlas Group had provided financial assistance to his party: \u201cEverything that was done ended at the appropriate address in the Democratic Party of Socialists, i.e. in the accounting. It was carefully recorded there, and the reports that state authorities required were submitted to them.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the other hand, in none of the reports on donations of natural and legal persons that DPS has so far submitted to state authorities did this party report even the Euro that Kne\u017eevi\u0107 gave.<\/p>\n
