In first week alone after launching the new mobile application of MANS “Pitajte poslanike” (“Ask MPs”), citizens sent almost 100 questions to their representatives in the Parliament of Montenegro, which additionally confirms the justification of establishing such way of communication between citizens and MPs.
These data are particularly encouraging when taking into account the negative campaign of some MPs who will need additional time to understand that communication with citizens is something that is completely normal and desirable if they wish to engage in politics seriously.
During the previous seven days, Draginja Vuksanović received most questions (6 questions), followed by Raško Konjević and Aleksandar Damjanović who received five questions each.
MPs Petar Ivanović, Obrad Stanišić, Branka Bošnjak, Branko Radulović, Ljiljana Đurašković, Strahinja Bulajić, Aleksa Bečić, Srđan Milić, Neđeljko Rudović and Andrija Popović received 3 questions each. Remaining MPs received two or less questions.
When it comes to answers to citizens, the most prompt in the previous week were Raško Konjević and Srđan Milić, followed by MPs of the ruling coalition Petar Ivanović and Andrija Popović, as well as MP Neđeljko Rudovic.
We believe that the first results of using this service show that there is a need for more intensive communication between MPs and citizens, and that citizens will continue to use it in the upcoming period even more actively, both the app itself and the form that exists on the MANS website.
In the following period, MANS will regularly inform the public on the use of this application citizens, what are the topics most interesting for citizens, and which MPs regularly or less promptly respond to citizens’ questions.
MANS once again invites all those who have not downloaded free mobile application “Pitajte poslanike“ to do it from Google Play Store, or send questions to MPs via our website (http://www.mans.co.me/pitajte-poslanike/).
